BLM/Elijah McClain Protest that took place June 27, 2020 at the Aurora Municipal Center campus off Alameda Parkway in Aurora, CO. This is a digital image of BLM/Elijah McClain protesters gathering out front of the Aurora Police Headquarters. People are gathering around and on the walk way up to the Headquarters. They are surrounded by trees that line the walk way. Some people are holding up signs. To the left of the image there are signs on pole with with USA flag on top the white lines on flag were painted black. Top sign, "Police Killed 3 people per day in 2019" all words are written in blue except for "Killed" written in red and "2019" written in black. Bottom sign, "M.M I.W / IDLE NO MORE / FIRST NATIONS STAND WITH B.L.M" multiple colors were used in creating this sign, there are drawings done in black of two fist on each side of the bottom sign one fist is holding a feather, there is an indigenous medicine wheel drawn in between the two fists using the black, red, white, and yellow colors. A person infront of these signs is holding a cardboard sign with "Defund the Police" written in black. Toward the center of the image is a sign, "POLICE EVERYWHERE JUSTICE NOWHERE" written in black. To the right of that sign a person is holding a sign on a stick that reads, "DEFUND THE POLICE" written in black with a red line under the word "POLICE" next to the word "THE" are circular markings in green, yellow, black, and orange. There are several other signs being held with no markings or words showing. This image was take in the crowd. |
