This is an image taken the Monday after the BLM/Elijah McClain protest that took place June 27,2020. The image shows the permanent fence at the end of the ramp to the Aurora History Museum. The Aurora Police Department installed a permanent fence in response to the BLM/Elijah McClain protest. Sections of black metal fencing cover the opening to the Museums ramp and the area above the brick wall attached to the Museum. The fencing is black metal with vertical and horizontal rectangular prism shape bars. The vertical bars extend up, curve over and turn into a triangular prism or point. The curve side is facing the Great Lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center campus. The ramp to the Museum is closed off. This section of fence can swing open to allow visitors to enter the Museum. This image is taken from the ramp leading to the Museum patio and entrance. |
