This is an image taken the Monday after the BLM/Elijah McClain protest that took place June 27,2020. The image peeks through the temporary wire fencing put up for the BLM/Elijah McClain protest and shows signage the Aurora Police Department placed on their temporary fencing, the temporary fencing that is held together with handcuffs and chains, the walk way and courtyard leading up to the Aurora Police Headquarters, and the brick wall and staircase that lead up to the Aurora History Museum. This image was taken from the sidewalk between the Great Lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center Campus and the walk way leading up to the Headquarters. Sign details: Purple sign with City of Aurora and Aurora Police Department branding and white lettering reads, "POLICE LOBBY TEMPORARILY CLOSED. For non-emergency call 303.627.3100." Red and black sign with white lettering has both English and Spanish, "Restricted Area-Authorized Law Enforcement Personnel Only / Any unauthorized entry is a violation of Aurora Municipal Code Sec.94-71, Trespass and violators are subject to summons and/or arrest.
